About the Project
University Village Thousand Oaks is a high-end retirement community constructed on a beautiful 65-acre site in Thousand Oaks. The project consisted of residential, commercial and site packages.
The residential package included four large independent living residential apartment buildings consisting of 251 apartment units and three smaller garden terrace buildings consisting of 48 larger units.
The commercial package consisted of commons and recreation buildings with large open restaurant-style dining areas, a commercial kitchen, library, lounges, wine storage and tasting rooms, computer center, arts and crafts studio, fitness center, mail room, auditorium, bar and lounge, billiard and card rooms, terraces, spa facility, salon and massage rooms, locker rooms, administrative offices and back-of-house employee areas.
The site package included two small and one large natural pond with waterfall features. Amenities included fountains, a putting green, bocce court, gazebos, swimming pool, spa, trellises, golf cart parking, walking paths, paseos, private gardening areas, dog park, nine-hole golf course and a maintenance storage and repair building. It also included the guardhouse, OSHPD-compliant emergency generators, more than two miles of road, curb, and gutter construction, extensive site lighting, a cart bridge, seven garage structures and 13 carport structures.
