About the Project
The LAUSD Edward R. Roybal Learning Center rests on 34 acres in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and includes the rehabilitation and new construction of a 5,100-seat year-round high school. Four existing three-story buildings were rehabilitated to create 88 new classrooms and three levels of underground parking. New construction included one slab-on-grade auditorium, gymnasium, library, cafeteria building, one 55,000 SF classroom, administration building and a central plant. This LAUSD project is the recipient of several awards, including the prestigious 2009 Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award.
