This project represents a substantial investment in the region’s tech infrastructure, with the facility set to join Meta’s existing Alabama data center campus in Huntsville.
The Montgomery data center, spanning 715,000 SF and designed to be AI-optimized, will become Meta’s 24th data hub and 20th in the United States. The construction of the Montgomery data center is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs at its peak, providing a significant economic boost to the region. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the facility is expected to achieve LEED Gold certification and will be supported by 100% renewable energy, reflecting Meta’s commitment to sustainability.
