Hensel Phelps’ Stanford Linear Accelerator Science and User Support Building (SLAC SUSB) in Menlo Park, California, recently earned LEED Gold Certification. The design-build project, with KMD Architects, had LEED certification in mind from the beginning. Notable features include a green roof and patio above the 300-seat auditorium, low-emitting and regionally sourced material, and access to multiple modes of transportation, as well as the encouragement of green vehicle use. Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to achieve this certification!
