About the Project
The Grand Wailea Maui Botero Lounge and Grand Dining renovations project is located in the Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. This four-star hospitality destination is located on the Hawaiian island of Maui along the beautiful Wailea Beach.
Renovations on the 4,317 SF Botero Lounge included the installation of new millwork, stone countertops, food service equipment and a new waterproof flooring system. Work on the lounge canopy included the installation of new lighting, a chandelier, ceiling patching and painting and other finishes. Other upgrades included the relocation of the Botero statues and reconstruction of their bases; upgrade of the existing planters; installation of a new audiovisual system and ADA-compliant handrails; and upgrade of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEPF) systems.
The 9,902 SF Grand Dining work involved renovations to the ceilings, including the installation of new steel beams to support five 14-foot-tall chandeliers and overhead rolling window screens; new buffet stations with innovative induction tops and rapid cooling smart stone countertops; a new waterproof flooring system and audiovisual system; MEPF system upgrades; lanai spalling repairs; new planter drainage, waterproofing, and landscaping; and the installation of ADA-compliant ramps and railings.
