Hensel Phelps’ Hydro District, the Town of Wellington and Jacobs broke ground on the $35 million Wellington Water Treatment Plant Expansion.
Hensel Phelps will construct three new buildings and treatment processes, including new flocculation and sedimentation, filtration, ozone generation and injection, chemical storage and feed, along with improvements to the existing site and facilities.
The project will upgrade the facility’s treatment capacity from 2.0 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) to 4.2 MGD, with accommodation for future buildout capacity of 6.9 MGD.
